Perhaps the most exciting artifact discovery at Yagul during this past season's work is this brazier with the famous "Olmec" mouth -- a stylization of the jaguar's mouth.
An idea of the shape and size of the pre-Columbian ballcourt may be obtained from this picture of the Yagul ballcourt and the accompanying sketch.
