Resumen

RubberNetwork a consortium for the Rubber and Tire Industry formed by

ten of the biggest and most important tire producers in the world, which

provides consultancy in Supply Chain Management and Global e-Sourcing

services.

Recently, after five years has decided to update its most important e-

Sourcing tool, Ariba Sourcing 4.4, which will be upgraded to Ariba

Sourcing Professional 9s5, the change should be achieved by the first

week of April, 2009; when the producer Ariba will stop providing support

to the users.

Michelin a member of RNC, will also be part of the implementation project,

since they have requested that hal their purchasing units around the world

should be trained and acquainted not only with the new tool but with

RNC´s e-Sourcing consultancy services by the first quarter 2010.

In order to achieve this project, it has been divided in three phases where

the first one involves the new tool setup, followed by the training

sessions required by the actual users of the tool, and to be finalized,

training new users and presenting RNC services to those purchasing

departments not yet acquainted to RubberNetwork.

By the time this report was written the project was still on process,

successfully so far, concluding the first two phases with participation of

the whole RubberNetwork team.
